FIMI Palm: Introduction and features
The new FIMI Palm is a 3-axis gimbal with an integrated camera. An integrated touch screen display and a five-way joystick are designed to make the operation and control of the mini gimbal particularly easy and comfortable.
Charging of the battery and data transfer is done via USB-C connection. Unlike the DJI Osmo Pocket, Bluetooth and WiFi are integrated directly into the FIMI Palm. No additional adapters are required for remote control or wireless access. The resolution of the integrated 1.22-inch display with touch function is 240 x 240 pixels with a brightness of 600 Nit. FIMI Palm will also have a story mode like the DJI Osmo Pocket. You can record cinematographic video clips in just a few steps with the help of the app and corresponding templates, music and effects. Intelligent recording functions such as Smart Tracking (Follow Me), Timelapse, Motion Lapse, Hyperlapse as well as a total of four gimbal modes (Pitch Lock, FPV, Follow and All Locked) are of course also included.

FIMI Palm vs. DJI Osmo Pocket
With the help of the 1/4″ thread the FIMI Palm can be extended with a variety of accessories – like a tripod or a selfie-stick. The weight of the FIMI Palm is 120 grams with dimensions of 127 x 30.5 x 22.7 millimetres.
Thanks to the 1,000-mAh rechargeable battery, the mini-gimbal should allow an operating time of up to 240 minutes (with FullHD recording and 30 fps). In terms of video, the FIMI Palm records in maximum 4K resolution at 30 frames per second and a video bit rate of 100 Mbps.
This is where the FIMI Palm is at a disadvantage compared to the DJI Osmo Pocket, as the DJI counterpart allows smooth 4K recordings even at 60 fps. The camera’s field of view is at a wide angle of 128°, which makes the gimbal ideal for sports and action shots.
