Most of the drone enthusiasts have been asking about DJI Phantom 3 4K vs Syma X8C. Needless to say that DJI Phantom 3 is a high-tech and professional drone as compared to Syma but it appears like they might be rivals.

That being said; today we’ll go through a detailed comparison between the DJI Phantom 3 4K vs Syma X8C.
DJI Phantom 3 4K vs Syma X8C
Talking of a basic comparison among the two, DJI Phantom 3 takes the lead when it comes to capturing 4K videos. Its display is outstanding and you’ll be awestruck by it. The only issue is high computing power required to edit such a high quality video.
Let’s discuss the both in a feature by feature manner.
Check out the latest DJI machine - DJI Mavic Air 2.
The DJI Mavic Air 2 is a great leap forward in comparison to Mavic Mini (and first generation of Mavic Air) in nearly every measurable respect:
✔️image and video quality
✔️transmission and controller
One of the most sought after feature in a drone by its consumers is its range.
DJI Phantom 3 4K offers a whopping range of 1.2 miles or 2KM, which is insane and comes at a fairly reasonable price. A lot of other drones with the same range come at high prices.
On the other hand, Syma X8C, which is only a 350mm-size toy-grade quadcopter, has a range of 250 meters but interestingly, it’s appearance is nearly the same as that of Phantom 3.
Well, when it comes to price, most of the individuals will be more inclined towards Syma X8C that comes just under $100 whereas Phantom 3 is above $500 but obviously there is a huge different of features as well.
Like, even if you are happy with getting the same body as that of Phantom 3, the range is too low, only 250 meters as compared to 1.2 miles of DJI Phantom.
Moreover, there is a huge difference between the battery timing, performance, flight, stability and control.
Personally, I don’t feel that price should be made a factor of consideration. It should be only limited to your budget.
3: Battery And Flight Time
The Phantom 3 comes with a 100W charger and the battery takes about 40 minutes to fully charge. Once charged, you can expect a flight time of about 30 minutes with moderate camera use.
When it comes to Syma X8C, the flight time is just 8 minutes with camera and hardly 12 minutes without it and takes 180 minutes to fully charge. Well, it’s quite good for such a drone with a large body.

Of course, nothing beats a high quality 4K result – or does it?
The DJI Phantom 3 offers a 4K video result and super HD images and thus takes more time for processing and editing as well. It comes with 16GB micro SD as well and spare anti-vibration damping balls.

The Syma X8C has a relatively good camera but it doesn’t has the brushless camera gimbal or any vibration dampening system. However, it still takes some quality videos but of course you can never think of comparing it to the aerial photography that DJI Phantom 3 offers.
5: Overall Performance
Finally, when it comes down to the overall performance of both the DJI Phantom 3 4K is simply the best. It has a high quality camera, flies well in the air, gives you a great experience and go a long way than you expect.
On the other hand, Syma X8C is also a good option to consider, especially if you are limited on budget.
