The DJI Mini 2 can also be combined with the DJI Care Refresh(+) program. This article explains exactly what this is and who needs it.
What is DJI Care Refresh?
The DJI Care Refresh program is basically a kind of equipment insurance directly from DJI. You pay a fixed amount and receive protection for one year. If damage or loss happens during the year, you will be entitled to up to two replacements with a tiered low deductible.

In this article, we’ll take a look at the most important facts about the DJI Mini 2 in relation to DJI Care Refresh.
Care Refresh for the DJI Mini 2 costs a one-time fee of 48€. There are two requirements that must be met before you can connect your drone to the program.
New and unactivated products
Drones or gimbals that were activated less than 48 hours ago
If your DJI Mini 2 was activated more than 48 hours ago, you can find out how to activate DJI Care Refresh by clicking on the following link on DJI*.
The first replacement drone will cost you 49€ in case of damage, the second one will cost you another 59€. If you need two replacement units in your year with DJI Care Refresh (the drone must always be sent in first), the basic price for Care Refresh is 48€ + 49€ (first replacement drone) + 59€ (second replacement drone) = 156€.
Cheap, compared to buying two new DJI Mini 2’s. The replacement units are new or “as good as new”. So it can be used models that you get as a replacement. These are tested by DJI and fully functional.
DJI Mini 2 Care Refresh+
Care Refresh+ builds on DJI Care Refresh and extends protection for another year* with an additional replacement unit. The additional replacement unit has a 49€ deductible.
Important to note: Before purchasing DJI Care Refresh + make sure that DJI Care Refresh (1-Year Plan) is still valid for your quad and that you are still entitled to at least one replacement unit.

If you purchase DJI Care Refresh separately for a previously purchased DJI product, DJI Care Refresh is automatically active after 24 hours. Your service agreement will be sent to you by e-mail.
DJI Care Refresh and the associated product must be purchased in the same country or region. DJI Care Refresh services are only available in the region of purchase.
Replacement equipment will be in mint or near mint condition in terms of performance and reliability.
For the DJI Mini 2, the fee for the first exchange is €49, for the second exchange €59.

Due to the relatively low price we can only advise every drone pilot to purchase the DJI Mini 2 with the Care Refresh package. In the ideal case you don’t need to take advantage of it, because you fly carefully enough and you don’t suffer any damage to the drone. But not always all eventualities can be solved with flying skills. Accidents can happen and with DJI Care Refresh you don’t have to worry financially about a proper replacement unit. Especially beginners fly more relaxed with the additional equipment insurance.
